The marriage of Rossend Vives Xicoy and Josefa Llorens Cusell led to the creation of Calçats Vives, with a shop in Calella and in Lloret de Mar. Making the most of the arrival of tourism to increase its presence on the Costa Brava, it opened a further two shops in Lloret de Mar and another in Calella to make a total of five.
Their son Rossend Vives took over the business in the early 90s, starting an expansion stage throughout the region of Girona, and the company now has shops in the main towns and cities of the province of Girona. 2005 saw the start of its expansion into the province of Barcelona and the company is now developing into Tarragona and Lleida.
The Calçats Vives shops offer the latest trends in footwear, targeting all sectors of the public, especially youngsters.
